Distinctives

 

     We rejoice in the fact that we are unified in a "mere Christianity," as C. S. Lewis would say, with all the churches of God throughout the world. Much more could be said about where we agree than where we disagree. We labor toward the peace and unity of the catholic (universal) church, but this work does not come without differences. Some doctrinal distinctives are more important than others and so we want to remain humble and charitable regarding doctrines which are of lesser importance or are adiaphora (things indifferent), and yet remain firm and vigilant with doctrines which are more clear and essential.
